All Aboard: Networking at the Great Central Railway
If you’re tired of the same old networking events, hotel conference rooms, formal agendas, and awkward introductions… we have something very different planned.
Our popular networking event is heading to the railway.
On Friday 17th April, we’re inviting business owners, professionals, and entrepreneurs to join us at the historic Great Central Railway for an afternoon of relaxed, memorable networking; including a ride on a vintage steam train through the stunning Charnwood countryside.
A Fresh Approach to Business Networking
At FRESH, we believe networking works best when it feels natural.
That’s why our events are designed to remove the pressure often associated with traditional networking. We encourage just genuine conversations in a welcoming environment.
With a community of over 1,600 businesses from a wide range of sectors and sizes, FRESH has quickly become one of the region’s fastest-growing business networking groups .
You simply turn up, connect, and enjoy the experience.
What to Expect on the Day
We’ll begin the afternoon at Quorn and Woodhouse railway station, where guests will gather for relaxed, informal networking from 12:30pm.
Then, at 13:07 sharp, we’ll board a beautifully restored steam train and continue networking in the elegant Veranda Coach as we travel through the picturesque landscapes of Charnwood and Leicestershire.
It’s a setting that naturally encourages conversation, connection, and collaboration.
By joining us, you can look forward to:
- Plenty of drinks and refreshments
- Teas, coffees, sandwiches, and cakes
- A scenic ride on a vintage steam train
- Stunning countryside views
- A room full of business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals
In short; a productive afternoon that feels enjoyable from start to finish.
A Local Experience
One of the things that makes this event so special is the venue itself.
The Great Central Railway is the UK’s only double-track, main line heritage railway, preserved thanks to the dedication of volunteers who saved the line following its closure in 1969. Today, it stands as a much-loved visitor attraction that celebrates the history and legacy of Britain’s railways.
Quorn & Woodhouse Station, opened in 1899, has been carefully restored to reflect its 1940s wartime appearance. From period waiting rooms and historic buildings to the atmospheric surroundings, the station offers a unique glimpse into the past — making it the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable networking experience.
Why Attend?
This event is designed to build relationships, share ideas, and discover opportunities.
Events like this create the perfect environment for those connections to happen naturally.
You’ll leave with:
- New contacts and potential collaborations
- Fresh ideas and inspiration
- Greater visibility within the business community
- A memorable experience you’ll be talking about long after the event
